La Salette Catholic Primary School

It has been with great sadness that we have all received the news of the passing of Pope Francis. Pope Francis was a champion for religious and cultural tolerance in his role. He was keen to expand the Church and made clear that children should be at the heart of our faith. He shared many letters and directives to schools encouraging us to promote peace in the world and to look after and care for the planet God gave us. His impact will be felt around the world for years to come. In school we shared prayers and spoke about his life in our Gospel Assembly and class worship sessions. We offer our thanks and gratitude for his service to our faith and pray for the Cardinals who now have the difficult job of choosing his successor.
