Key Stage 2 Curriculum
At La Salette we follow the National Curriculum which sets out that every state-funded school must offer a curriculum which is balanced and broadly based and which:-
- promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils at the school and of society;
- prepares pupils at the school for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.
As a Catholic school 10% of our timetable is dedicated to the teaching of Religious Education. This "underpins, activates, develops and completes the educational and catechetical activity of the whole school" (Religious Education Curriculum Directory 2012).
In addition to this we also teach Italian through our Modern Foreign Languages programme delivered by the Italian Consulate.
