School Governors

The Governing Body oversee the work of the school and make sure it provides a good quality education for its pupils.

Working in partnership with the Head and other staff, governors responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- 

  • Ensuring that the Catholic Ethos of the School is central to the education of children.
  • Establishing vision, aims, and objectives for the school's development and improvement.
  • Acting as a "critical friend" to challenge and support the headteacher, ensuring high educational standards and robust performance management.
  • Ensuring the school's money is well-spent, approving budgets, and aligning spending with the school development plan.
  • Ensuring the school adheres to statutory duties, including health and safety, safeguarding, and providing a balanced curriculum.
  • Acting as a link between the school and the community, including parents.
